Rise and Rescue Mission exists because every girl deserves a chance to rise.
Rise and Rescue Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, nurturing, and empowering vulnerable girls in Nigeria. Founded on the belief that every child is created in God's image and destined for purpose, we provide safe housing, free education, trade skills and holistic spiritual development to girls who have been abused, abandoned, or left without hope.
Based in Abeokuta, Nigeria, we are committed to raising a generation of young women who know their worth in Christ and are equipped to fulfill their God-given potential.

Our Story: How It All Began
Rescue and Rise Mission was born from a burden that wouldn't go away!
For years, we watched from afar as vulnerable girls in Nigeria faced impossible circumstances—orphaned by tragedy, abused by close relatives and others, abandoned by society, and forgotten by the world.
These were girls with no parents to protect them, no homes to shelter them, and no one to tell them they mattered. But God wouldn't let us look away. In 2011, after much prayer, tears, and seeking the Lord's direction, we—Olajide and I made a decision:
We would not just feel burdened for these girls; we would do something about it. From our home in Canada, with deep roots in Nigeria, we launched the Rescue and Rise Mission with a simple but audacious vision:
to rescue vulnerable girls, raise them in the fear and knowledge of God, and release them into their destinies as women of purpose.
We started with nothing but faith. No building. No funding. No guarantee of success. Just a calling and a conviction that God would provide. Today, we are building the foundation of something that will outlast us—a mission to rescue one girl at a time and, through her, transform generations.
This is only the beginning.

We dream of a day when Rescue and Rise Mission operates a 10-acre campus of hope, complete with:

Get to know the passionate individuals behind the Rescue and Rise Mission. Our dedicated team is committed to serving God and supporting the girl child on their wholistic journey with wisdom, compassion, and authentic faith.
Meet The Team
Oluwatosin Okunlola is a woman of deep faith, compassion, and vision. As the founder of Rescue and Rise Mission, she brings a nurturing heart and strategic mind to every aspect of the ministry.
With a background in Mental Health Addiction, Counselling, and Recovery Oluwatosin oversees the day-to-day care and development of the girls in the mission's care.
She is passionate about raising girls who know their identity in Christ and are equipped to impact their world. "Every girl we rescue becomes a daughter. We don't just provide shelter—we provide family, love, and a future."
A man driven by faith, purpose, and an unshakeable commitment to serving the vulnerable. Originally from Nigeria and now based in Canada, Olajide is a licensed REALTOR® and entrepreneur with a heart for ministry.
After years of feeling the burden for orphaned children in his home country, Olajide—together with his wife—answered God's call to launch Rescue and Rise Mission. His vision is to build a legacy that outlasts him: a generation of girls rescued, restored, and raised to fulfill their destinies.
Olajide believes that faith without works is dead, and he is committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus to the fatherless."When I see a vulnerable girl, I see potential. I see a future mother, leader, and world-changer. Our job is to give her the chance to rise."

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works.
